A new treatment for that can work within 10 minutes has launched in the UK.
It is a gel called Eroxon, and has been clinically proven to work for people with mild to severe erectile dysfunction.

Dr Catherine Hood, a sexual health specialist, added: “When they were launched back in the 90s, PDE5i medicines were a game-changer, but they are not an option for many men due to pre-existing health conditions, interactions with their prescription medicines or simply because of the time they take to work.”
In a 12-week clinical trial of 250 people, two out of three reported a significant improvement in their ability to achieve and maintain an erection. The figure rose to 80 per cent for those with severe erectile dysfuncion.
The gel is available over the counter, without a prescription. Eroxon costs £24.99 for a pack of four single-use tubes, and is available from Boots stores and online.

A $30 million study of the sexual activity of the so-called “super-consumers” is still not conclusive, but a new one has been released this week. In the first of these findings, researchers say, one in every five men who take a pill or use drugs for the purpose of helping them lose weight — or gain an erection — can be at risk of heart disease, strokes and other cardiovascular problems.
The research was funded by the American Heart Association. The researchers included a group of women who have been on Viagra for a few years and had recently died of an enlarged prostate, a heart attack or other serious disease. The group’s study was presented at the American Heart Association’s annual meeting in Las Vegas in September, which also featured a panel of experts, including Dr. Bruce Albers, a cardiologist at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital who was a senior author on the report.
